Volt WiFi - slow speeds and weak security

Since the mandatory upgrade from our Virgin Media wifi to Volt, the whole household has noticed the drop in speed and, when joining the network on an iPhone, it says the security is weak. This is concerning considering we were promised faster speeds etc. The wifi drops out constantly, I’ve used more mobile data at home since the install! Attached a screenshot of the “weak security” message
