Re: Virgin Media routing issues AGAIN

Hi Sigma and all others on this thread,

To be honest we're not sure exactly what's happening here, as the issue appears to be non-CMTS specific. We've complied all the data relating to those affected and this is now under investigation. Interesting that some of you mention that VPN access is fine - are you able to browse via IP when the issues occur? I know that won't be possible with gaming servers but am thinking of those of you who report problems navigating to this Forum?

Keep us updated and we'll get back to you as and when we have any progress to report.

Many thanks for your patience in the meantime Smiley Happy

Re: Virgin Media routing issues AGAIN

Not sure if I also fall into this issue but I can use certain sites like youtube, things like WoW and steam are unresponsive, don't have a VPN to test if that helps, but just adding to the count of people affected Smiley Sad

Internet was just unusable for 30 minutes before posting this.

Re: Virgin Media routing issues AGAIN

Hi,

Just wanted to throw my hat into the ring as I seem to be having issues though for me , in M33 , I seem to have issues with the autotrader website etc. Sometimes I can get on and things look fine and then I can get on but different bits won't load ie car images etc.

Tried a trace route via network utility and it times out at step 4 and 7

Traceroute has started…

Same issue when route google.co.uk even though can access it ok.  Seems to affect wired and wireless although headline speeds etc are ok.

Spoke to the offshore support who wasn't much help and then said would escalate to the network team but then passed me to gadget support who asked why they'd done that and then when I was put back they cut me off.

Be nice to find out whats going on as even uptown lunchtime and just after everything was fine.

this is google.co.uk

Re: Virgin Media routing issues AGAIN

Hi all,

Just for clarity:

This thread is specific to issues accessing certain sites/games between 12am and 3:30am. Any issues experienced outside of those times would be best posted on a new thread so that they can be investigated individually.

For those affected by the aforementioned problem - Networks are requesting an update - has the problem resurfaced since last Sunday?

Many thanks,

Re: Virgin Media routing issues AGAIN

Not had this since. If you guys changed something my packet loss seemed to be down last night too at the cost of my ping being unstable and higher by like 20-30 to the game I was playing.
