Upstream channel modulation keeps changing after local outage

Thats it really, had an outage in WD3 today and apparently fixed by 15:00; this was the status at 17:55

You are getting timeouts because your modem is failing to keep a network lock. In some cases the problem is in the home, so power off your hub, check that all connections between the hub and wall socket are tight and power on again.

it behaved itself overnight and channels remain at 64 qam, the cable to the back of the modem needed a good tightening.

I've ran a system check and can see your downstream channels are out of spec. 

 

This needs a tech to attend the property so will PM you now to assist
