Re: Upload speed

Called VM this morning spoke to 1st person he said the UL speed should have increased when upgrade was done and transferred me to techies

2nd call person said they don’t support UL speeds  I advised my router was still showing

Max Traffic Rate12700000

which meant I can never get  more than12 mb however he repeated constantly they don't support upload speeds and IMO was very rude

3rd call person helpful but could not sort it for me

4th call Ditto 2nd person

I'm starting my own thread and hope a mod will pick it up as I've spent over 2 hours getting nowhere today

Re: Upload speed

How many upstream channels are you on out of interest? I've recently gone to 4 x qam64?

Re: Upload speed

Ah, finally. Knew this was happening but wasn't sure exactly when. Was going to be once M350/35 and M500 had had time to settle down so they knew the network wouldn't implode.

While those are the big shiny numbers the M200 and downwards are where most customers are so will increase load on the network more on a sustained basis than the relative few on the higher tiers.

Re: Upload speed

1 - 64 QAM
2 - 64 QAM
3 - 64 QAM
4 - 64 QAM

When I first joined VM in September last year, I was on 16 QAM for the 4 upload channels for ages - went to 64 QAM about 2 months ago.

Re: Upload speed

It went live yesterday. I heard it was planned a few weeks ago so it's reassuring that VM are meeting deadlines, even their own.

It feels strangely reassuring to be back to the old 10:1 ratio Smiley Wink

Just reboot the (Super)Hub to get the speed bump.

Re: Upload speed

Not everyone gets the bump after rebooting though.
