Re: Upgraded from Vivid 150 to Vivid 200, speed dropped to 120-130mbps

Trying with a laptop that is much closer to the router than the PC I was trying before and I'm getting about 95MB/s

Distance should not matter with Ethernet, unless it is is over 100 metres, or was that a wireless test?

It it was wired then a speed below 100Mbps suggests that the Ethernet adapter in the laptop is not a gigabit adapter.  Laptops often only have 10/100 Ethernet adapters.

Might be best to wait for the forum staff to get here and see if they can see any issues with your connection or your segment of the network.

Is it really 190Mbps (or about 24MB/s)? I get 100MB/s between my PC and NAS in either direction.

That's a pretty fast NAS.  Smiley Tongue

Oddly, it's not consistently fast as I recently transferred a large number of MP4 files (each about 2GB) from PC to NAS by Windows copy and paste and never got anything close to 100MB/s.

Hi Niju

Thanks for your post

From your Forum details. I have been able to check the signal levels

Both upstream and downstream are well within Spec

As your last post was 2 days ago, are you still getting the same issues

Or have things improved since

Hi Gareth,

Thanks for your reply. I haven't changed anything, but testing again, I seem to be getting the full speed now. Thanks again.
