Upgrade

After upgrading from 100Mb to 200 Mb service I'm getting slower speeds than I had when it was 100mb service. Nothing else has changed, wired connection..any ideas ?

Re: Upgrade

How much slower - Up & Down? Are your devices capable of receiving >100mbps? What Hub are you on and have you rebooted it?

Re: Upgrade

Down to about 50mb on download upload speed seems fine, I was getting around 103mb download before the upgrade...I re booted my hub 3.0 last night and it's still the same.

Re: Upgrade

What device are you testing on and what NIC card specs. does it have and are the drivers up to date?

Re: Upgrade

I'm using a Lenovo Ideapad 330 drivers are up to date , will need to check NIC specs but like I said I was doing over 100mbps before the upgrade and now I can't get half that.

Re: Upgrade

Yes after you stating you got 103Mbps trying to suggest your NIC is not up to par is a bit stupid - if you had a 100Mbps NIC in your machine you would struggle to get more than about 80Mbps.

What does it say in the config stats? Others can advise how to get there I can't remember sorry

Re: Upgrade

I would start by checking the basics.

Are you connected directly to the Hub by Cat 5E or better ethernet cable.
It would be worth trying another ethernet cable as they can go bad.

Posting some basic diagnostic info may help.

Navigate to the hub's GUI using http://192.168.0.1
Don't log in, click the Router Status button..
Copy \ Paste the Downstream, Upstream, and Network Logs.

Don't worry about the formatting, but do obscure personal information like your WAN IP address.

Re: Upgrade

No problem sending you the stuff you need but I will have to find out where my WAN IP address is on the copies....old minds take time to figure things out.
