Speeds inconsistent and slow after upgrade

After upgrading my internet package from 100Mbps to 350Mbps yesterday (16/01/2021) I'm encountering slow and inconsistent speeds. Sometimes I can get 250Mbps download and 36Mbps upload, to 80Mbps download and 4Mbps upload an hour later.

I have a wired connection and I've restarted my router a couple of times in an attempt to resolve the issue.

Re: Speeds inconsistent and slow after upgrade

Possibly a pre-existing noise issue that you barely noticed is now preventing the higher speeds being delivered consistently.  Connect to the hub by clicking on this link http://192.168.0.1/  That should pull up the log in page for the hub.  But don't log in, just click on the link "Check router status"  That'll bring up a window with five tabs.  Open the Downstream tab.  Select all the text (Ctrl-A if using a keyboard), copy it (Ctrl-C), then paste it (Ctrl-V) into a reply here.  Post that, do the same for the Upstream and Network log.  You'll get an error message when you post the Network log, just click on "post" a second time.  Don't post screenshots.

Then we can check the power, noise and error stats to see if there's anything in them that would explain this.

Re: Speeds inconsistent and slow after upgrade

There's nothing obviously wrong in those stats (power is good, SNR is good, error count is acceptable, modulation is fine), although the network log indicaates an unreliable connection.

Setup a BQM, that'll show what's going on with your VM connection.  Post a link to a live, shared graph here and we'll see what's happening.  Usually needs to run for 24 hours before we can draw reasonable conclusions, but the live graph will continuously update so you can do that immediately.

Re: Speeds inconsistent and slow after upgrade

Ok the broadband tracker has been running for over 24 hours now. Any conclusions you can draw?
