Speed keeps going down

Hey,

Sorry know there are a few of these! I've joined virgin a few days ago and for some reason our internet just keeps slowing down. I've restarted/reset the router and it fixes it for a bit but then it just goes to a really slow speed again.

I've attached a copy of the downstream, upstream and network log below as read somewhere that was the best thing to do but I'm not great at this sort of thing so honestly any advice would be great!

Re: Speed keeps going down

Those figures are absolutely fine.

What speeds are you measuring, and on what devices?

Bear in mind that the only valid speed measurement is with a wired connection to the Hub. WiFi speeds are affected by local conditions, but there are things that can be done to improve them.

Re: Speed keeps going down

Hey

Thanks for coming back to me 🙂

Its intermittent to be honest- it's a wired connection with my ps4 and at times it will be fine but then it'll go down to about 20mb/s and I'll have to restart the router. It just keeps happening and a bit unsure why tbh as have it on a wired connection

Re: Speed keeps going down

The rest of the downstream stats would be useful.

From the Downstream tab that you have already accessed, you just need to scroll down and capture all the figures.  There should be two lots of 24 channels, one with headings:

Channel Frequency (Hz) Power (dBmV) SNR (dB) Modulation Channel ID

and one with headings:

Channel Locked Status RxMER (dB) Pre RS Errors Post RS Errors

Re: Speed keeps going down

Sorry this took so long! Had to find a computer as it wouldn't show on my phone.
