Re: Speed and latency problems

Morning @aceado

Is it still happening? Please would you keep the graphs coming or kindly post the live link. We continue to feed this back to networks and thoroughly appreciate your patience and help.

Thank you

Nicola

Re: Speed and latency problems

Hi Samantha,

That is frustrating. Honestly, I believe this will be happening to many more people in the area but they are actually unaware of how to check what is going on themselves, and then obviously when they contact your customer support they are told there are no issues.

Unfortunately I haven't had good experiences with your call centre myself regarding the issue. Are you able to test my line? I use modem mode already and every time I call to discuss my issues the call centre ask me to put the hub back into router mode, which is also frustrating.

Thanks

Re: Speed and latency problems

Still happening here.

Yesterday was my day off so was able to use broadband most of the day but as soon as it got to around 4pm the speed took a nose dive until it eventually gave out around 8ish (speed test gave <5mbps download)

heres my love link as well

Re: Speed and latency problems

Still problems here. An 'Engineer' came around on Wednesday and after scratching his head decided the tap in the cabinet was faulty so changed to another tap pressumably (although he had to be talked through how to do this so not sure i'd trust this diagnosis). All changing the tap has done is put the power levels up to 8-9.5dbmv so no doubt i will now get told by the unhelpful desk is 'your power levels are causing the problem' and the virgin media roundabout of misery continues.

BTW New Delhi call centre manager (Raj) tells me that he cannot escalate this issue to networks as i quote 'that is for the engineer to do'. So apparently a customer is left to argue the toss with the engineers, who obviously make a minor change and break something else or at least put off the problem long enough for t to be someone elses problem.

Re: Speed and latency problems

Still no better, its coming up to 6pm and once again my speeds are slow. This is now trying my patience and have started looking at other providers. ALso the red parts on the BBQM are nothing to do with anything on my side. That's just when the broadband decided not to work totally
