Slow speeds and a non techy person

I seem to be having a problem with my speeds on what has been up till now a pretty good service.

Speed tests from Ookla are showing

Which is rendering my broadband as nearly at dial up speeds.

Re: Slow speeds and a non techy person

in a few words your downstream is rubbish - your upstream is as bad

you need input from VM to say if its an area fault or just your line - if the latter you need a tech to sort it

Re: Slow speeds and a non techy person

Thanks. I always check the area status just in case and it’s mostly clear whenever I do a speed test. Looks like a call for a engineer is in my future.

Re: Slow speeds and a non techy person

Hi datcat

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community.

I have run some checks on the speeds this morning and I can see there is an open area fault which could possibly be affecting you. The info regarding this is below:

Ticket reference: F006901700
Estimated end date: 28 FEB 2019 15:15

Please pop back later if this is still affecting you so we can check again.

Kind regards.

Kaz
