Slow speed on new 1gig

Hi. About a week ago I recently upgraded from 200 to the 1gig line using the hub 4 that was delivered. Since I’ve only managed to get up to 300mb down in speed tests. This is in either router or modem mode. I’ve tested on Wi-Fi using Wi-Fi 6 also Ethernet using cat7 cables

If feels like there is some kind of throttling happening. Can any one from virgin support advise?

thanks

What does this site show?

https://samknows.com/realspeed/

Hi

yesh sorry the Samknows site was interesting. It showed me getting 1gig to the router, then my side was 300mb ish. I assume this points to the router as my pc and mac I used have 10/100/1000 nic and I tried two brand new short cat7 cables

I’m a bit unsure where to go with this. Upload however seems ok. I seem to get 45-50 up which I assume is about right

Speed test sites can be inconsistent.

Try a few different ones:

www.fast.com

www.speedtest.net
