Hi,

I am having slow download speeds. I have tested my connection on speedtest.net and that is also showing that I am receiving only half of my download speed. I am on a wired connection. Please help!

Iotharmat is right - stats all look ok.

First thing you should do is change the ethernet cable to a new Cat5e or Cat6 one - old ones do fail and then test speeds again like this....

_________________________________
Connect your computer/laptop, with up to date drivers, via a NEW and working Cat5e/6a ethernet cable, directly to the Hub which you have put into “modem mode” (https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-media-hub-modem-mode ). This ensures that NO other devices are connected

Test speeds at https://speedtest.samknows.com/ - try on 2 different browsers.

If they are still low – boot you device into windows safe+networking mode to disable any potentially interfering software - and try again.

There are many posts on here (I have a list of ~30!) where QoS software, unknown/flaky software, old network card drivers, corrupted browsers, bad cables or other connected devices are limiting speeds on tests.

Report back what that gets.

Post up your upstream stats too!

------------------------------------------------------------------
Hub 3 - Modem Mode - TP-Link Archer C7

Upstream bonded channels
Channel	Frequency (Hz)	Power (dBmV)	Symbol Rate (ksps)	Modulation	Channel ID
1	25800009	38.5	5120	64 qam	5
2	32600000	40	5120	64 qam	4
3	39400007	40	5120	64 qam	3
4	46200024	40	5120	64 qam	2

Upstream bonded channels
Channel	Channel Type	T1 Timeouts	T2 Timeouts	T3 Timeouts	T4 Timeouts
1	ATDMA	0	0	0	0
2	ATDMA	0	0	0	0
3	ATDMA	0	0	0	0
4	ATDMA	0	0	0	0

Nothing really jumps out of the stats!

The only thing that slightly concerns me is the strange power level spread for the downstream channels..

Hopefully someone like Andrew-G, Jbrennand or any other VIP who know a shed-load more than me will be along shortly to advise!

Have changed the cable with the new one that came with the hub, no change, same issue.

Have also tried a speedtest via wireless standing right next to the hub, same results.

I'll try the other suggestions and post back.

Thanks
