Slow & cutting out broadband

Hi, I've just moved over from BT to the m125 broadband and it's horrendous slow and intermittently cuts off.  I'm getting WiFi download of 13mbps, I've tried the optimiser thing but hasn't changed anything.  Any ideas?

Thanks

Try this test to see the speed to the Hub vs the speed over WiFi.

Once the test begins click on Run full test  to show all the stats.

Expect the speed to the Hub to be inline with M125 (132/20) advertised rates.

That's what it's giving me.

So the network speed to the Hub 3 is spot on.

Mobile looks a mess.    Try restarting your mobile and try again.

What happens with a laptop network cabled to the Hub 3 ?

Hi,

I've just tried it again & getting a download of 22.  Unfortunately I don't have a laptop to stick straight into the router.

Cheers

Good Morning @Neilmoll, thanks for your post on our Community Forums, and a very warm welcome to you!

Sorry to hear of the issues with the services to your mobile phone.

Can you please confirm if this issue is still ongoing?

Does this effect the mobile device only?

I've been able to look at the hub, and as expected all appears to be within spec.

Kindest regards,

David_Bn

Hi,

Yeah it's still pretty slow about 10mbps & occasionally cutting out, I've tried the suggestions.  What should I be looking at as a download speed?

Thanks

You may find the following link useful in regard to the service speeds you should be expecting  https://www.virginmedia.com/broadband/speeds To best help with your current speeds, please try our connect app https://virg.in/connectapp which can test for WiFi issues and black spots. Please let us know how you get on.

Hi, The connect app is giving me a download of 13 and upload of 3. It says the signal strength is great.

Hi again Neilmoll, thanks for all the posts and replies.

We're sorry to see you're getting slow speeds on Wi Fi over the Connect App, does the app give you the option to add Wi Fi Max/Pods due to this and have you placed any orders for a Wi Fi pod to be sent to you from there?

Please, visit here for more on our wireless speed guarantee that comes with Wi Fi Max service.
You can add this on free of cost if you're on 1Gig or a Volt bundle with O2 mobile included, for all other customers it comes with £8 monthly charge.

Do have a read above and let us know if you wish to add this, we'll be happy to assist further.
