Hi, thanks for the reply.

The problem is intermittent, but at the off-chance, lunchtime today (23/05/22), I get this:

So the issue is still present  - I am not sure when I will get this next, but it's more at less daily, and it looks to be at 'peak times'. In addition a had the same problems maybe 1 year ago, that was 'solved', this has started happening since I have upgraded from M200 to M350 recently.

You can see the 'packet loss' starting here, this always occurs when the upstream service becomes very poor:

I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HOTSPOT FROM MY PHONE WHEN THIS HAPPENS - but it's better than my wired connection from VM when it's like this.

Happy to receive further comments from VM, thanks.

Funny, just came on to these forums with the exact same problem at the exact same times as you. I also live in Portsmouth.

I was online gaming too but found it impossible due to the intermittent complete packet loss.

Hi Docxx, I'm in the North End / Copnor area.

Have you recently upgraded your speed? the recent poor performance started happening when I upgraded from 200 to 350. I have seen the same thing before though 12~18 months ago...... Join the thread 😉

I'm in Portchester. It might not be the same thing, though they seem to have occurred at the same times. I had it for a couple of days last week not so much with the upload speed but the download would intermittently drop down to 0.3 or 0.2 Mbps when I usually get 200+. It would do this every 2-5 minutes. I've not recently upgraded although did upgrade after my last contract renewal about 6 months ago but have not had any problems with Virgin at all.

Only just started thinkbroadband monitor this evening but just shows packet loss so far.

Hi Again Docxx, for me, it's all upload speed, collect some data, and perhaps we can compare notes (I don't know much btw, but more data is always good).  🙂

My unusable period:

Hi wrolfe

Thanks for coming back to us,

I've done some system checks and no issues/outages showing. All levels are fine and in spec. No SNR (signal to noise ratio) or congestion issues are showing. I do hope the upload has gone back to how it should but do let us know if any further help needed.

Best,
