Slow Broadband Speeds

Hi,

Im paying for 100 mb however only getting 7/Mb.

My broadband has slowed to a trickle. I ran a broadband speed test and it reported 2.94 MB/s Usually over 200. What is going on?

It's been getting worse all day. I've just done a speedtest - got 0.62 MBps on download, and 0.84 on upload. Not quite as good as the 150 I'm paying for!

Howe are you measuring the speed?. It has to be with a suitable device connected to the Hub with an ethernet cable. Tests over WiFi are meaningless.

Using a PC with ethernet cable connection. I've not had problems before today.

I'm using a wired broadband connection. No wifi involved. I assume this is related to the failure just after midnight last night.

Your upstream power levels are too high and need to be looked at by VM. As it only started last night would explain why the logs are not showing the upstream in distress.

You will need to contact VM for resolution, either by waiting here about a week until a VM Forum Team Member picks up the thread, or give them a call on 150 from a VM line or 0345 454 1111 for a quicker response.

I would bear in mind this thread may get complex as felix53 has rudely hijacked the thread rather than start his own
