I'm paying for 100mbps but getting less than 30mbps and as little as 3. I've been testing for days at different times and have even upgraded from a hub 2 to hub 3 in the hope it would solve the problem but it hasn't. Hope I'm giving the correct information below to get the right help. I've been on the phone for an hour and a half waiting to speak to someone this evening but had to hang up in the end. I've used 3 different mobiles and most recently been using the speedtest.net app which virgin recommends. On that I think I was getting about 3 or 4mbps. I don't have a wired device, or an ethernet cable to test with, although the WiFi signal seems to be really good. Clearly you're the expert, bit it seems to me that it's an issue with the service to my hub as I've tried both a Hub 2 and a hub 3 now and had almost identical test speeds with both
Right, got you! I'll see if I can try that. I could get onboard with that as an excuse from Virgin if I was regularly getting 40 to 80mbps, but the majority of the time I'm getting between 4 and 8 and paying £40 a month for the privilege. I'll try and come up with a way to test an ethernet connected device and regardless of results, will try and post progress on here. Thanks for your time
