Looks like the connection went down originally at around 12:30PM(ish) before coming back at just before 3PM.
Online fault checker is showing nothing wrong (currently).
Just posting so this can get potentially flagged up/noted.

Gonna have to remove the 6DB attenuator to bring powers back into range at some point when I have the chance, too.
Kind of lucky I'm only using this as a backup connection/for family members now.. lol

Check automated service on 0800 561 0061 it is better for local faults than  https://my.virginmedia.com/faults/service-status

Downstream Power (dBmV) these are all too low & out of spec.  SNR (dB) looks fine.

Only 1 Upstream 32 qam channel (4 or 5 are normal) and the Hub is transmitting super loud to be heard.

This looks like a service fault.

Unless there is an area fault, those figures indicate either a loose plug, cable problem or street box problem and you would need a technician’s visit to fix.

Check with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 If you have a VM landline 150 this goes down to post code level. You could also try the web page status, but this is not recommended as it only covers issues that affect a very large number of customers.

VM will not dispatch any technicians while an area fault exists.

If no area faults found:

The primary place to report faults or for service requests is Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait two or three days for a VM staff member to get to your post.

Seems like it's noted now.

"Looks like there are issues in your postcode affecting your services"
"There’s a broadband issue in your area and our technicians are on the case to fix things. Check back here at any time for updates."

Just time to wait it out 🙂

Hello Icantcrabhere

Thankyou for your post.

Apologies for this delayed reply.

Can I just ask how the service is now?

I did check the area and it a looks clear with no issues reported.

If you are still having the same issues, please let me know and I can look into for you.

Hi there,
It's now back to normal.

However the attenuator(6DB) that I wish to remove (So i can bring my power levels back in spec) is jammed on tighter than anything I've ever seen and I've rather not force it and do potential damage.

So other than that, everything is Okay.

It was fitted with a spanner it can be removed with one too.

If a wide band attenuator is removed the Hubs Upstream Power drops,  35-49 dBmV is preferred Upstream Power range.

Hi there, Client62!

Yeah currently above 50/51 - hence why I want to remove it 🙂

I've been trying to remove it, in the past I've had no issues.
however it's "Well and truly on there" - Guess I'll give it another go!

Post your stats before and after removal.

The "After" will have to wait, since I'll have to remove the attenuator once I return home.
