They knowingly sell people this service even though they know these areas need work on, it's disgusting if you ask me, warn people about the problems first instead of selling them contracts by the year and let them figure it out after a month. Why hasn't trading standards been informed about this?

5 days after we were told to check in and we still haven't heard anything......I think the next stop for the NR5 guys is the Ombudsman....To think we've had these issues for a year now is ridiculous.

Hi All,

Apologies for the late response. I've checked on fault F003346711 and I'm afraid the review date is now 28/10/15. There was work carried out that added additional downstream channels to the local node but the traffic is still too congested so more work is needed.

So how would I go about getting credit on the account for the fault? What number do I call? I can't believe I've left it a year to start claiming rebate.

What they don't tell you is that under Ofcom regulation they must offer you a better service without penalty to alleviate the issue. Rinse them for everything you can, including rebate. 

• giving you an estimate of the maximum speed you can get before you buy
• explaining what may cause your speed to slow down on occasions
• giving you help and advice on how to improve your speed
• offering an alternative package (if there is one), without any penalties, if the actual speed is a lot lower than their original estimate.
