Random ping spikes + massive lag playing games

Hexerii
Joining in

I am no genius with internet, but one random day my internet on games has been around 30ms, until one day i find it randomly jumps between lowest 60 - 255ms and only ever gets back to 30ms really late at night. I used pingplotted and pinged my IP address and this what came up. It is so frustrating because this issue has came out of nowhere. I use ethernet but this problem is also on every other device in my house and has just started happening

Hi again Mike, don't know if that lot got through. I could copy it all to a word doc and mail it if required. doesn't seem as though the reply function is too good at handling this data.

Your Hub data is good except one of your Upstream channels is at 32 QAM instead of 64.

Go back into that Tab and click Refresh Data and see if it goes back to 64.

Your BQM is awful.

There is a definite problem somewhere so you can try phoning it in or wait here for one of the VM Staff to pick up the thread, someone should be along within a couple of days.

Don't bump your thread; it doesn't get answered any quicker.

Hi again Mike..thanks for all you assistance...don't think phoning it in is any good at the moment, and quite understandably as well in current climate. If this can be fixed remotely then great. If it means engineers coming out then that's a non starter at the moment due to COVID-19 restrictions. Let's hope..keep well
