Poor speed - SNR?

I'm on 100Mbps and until recently always got 110/10 speeds.

Lately I am lucky to get 50, and for the last two days I can't even do voice-only meetings on Teams it's that bad.

The router snr stats look bad - is that the reason?

Re: Poor speed - SNR?

SNR does look a bit 'off'.

Could you post the rest of the 'Downstream', and the 'Upstream' tab data?

Re: Poor speed - SNR?

Just to update, I don't think the low SNR is my problem because it's low day and night yet my internet speed is terrible during the day mainly.  As I type, at 10pm, I get 100+Mbps.

I suspect it is just over-subscribed in my area these days.  I am fortunate in that I am just out of contract because it is making working from home really difficult and I may have to leave VM.

Re: Poor speed - SNR?

Can you set up a Broadband Quality Monitor (BQM) at thinkbroadband.com - this will give you an insight into what is happening with the signal at the other side of the Hub, it will take a few hours to get any kind of trend showing although you should post the link straight away.

Post a link to your BQM on here.

Instructions for posting BQM Link

Under your BQM graph are two links in red.

Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate.

Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see.

On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon)

In the URL box paste the link you copied and in the ‘text to display’ box write My BQM then click OK - you can post the link straight away.

Re: Poor speed - SNR?

My BQM has been running a couple of days now but I don't know if it's good or bad.

My internet experience has not been too bad in this period though so might not be representative

Re: Poor speed - SNR?

That BQM graph is horrendous, very high latency and spikes shown in yellow, should be pretty much flatter above the green area.
