Not getting the speed i pay for

I've never checked the speed since signing up a couple of months ago I'm quite disappointed with virgin media i pay for the 350mbps but all the speed tests I've done the maximum I'm getting is141.03mbps if this is the best virgin media can offer I might as well drop to a lower tariff.

is it possible to downgrade.?

Yes, you can downgrade. 

However how are you testing speeds.?  VM do not guarantee wifi speeds, so tests need to be done wired directly to the Hub.

Post your power levels and network logs.  Also setup a BQM here www.thinkbroadband.com/ping

Once done we can comment.

I'm wired to the hub with high quality cable testing from virgin media link to speed test.net

I am so sorry to hear that you are experiencing these slow speeds on your wired connections. 

 

Can you post your Hub status and logs? How to do this;

  • Please go to http://192.168.0.1 (or http://192.168.100.1 - if in modem mode),
  • Don't log in, click on 'router status'
  • Copy/paste the data from each of the tabs as text into a 'REPLY' as opposed to 'QUICK REPLY'. Please do not include your MAC address.

Also, set up a 'Broadband Quality Monitor'. This will monitor the state of your connection and record any network dropouts etc - You can do this at ThinkBroadband 

 

Give it a while to gather data and then click 'Share Live graph' and paste the 'Direct Link' into the forum
