Not getting my full internet speed via ethernet

Hello, I am not receiving my full internet speed via ethernet. I'm using the TP-Link TL-PA717 powerline from the router to my upstairs bedroom and I'm using a cat6 cable. The package I have is the 500mbps and I get this speed wireless with no issue! I'm on windows 11, I have attached an image of what I get via ethernet.

Powerline adaptors are super convenient but are not a replacement for a network cable when maximum speed is desired.

Setup the TP-Link app and check the data rate over the powerline adapters.

Just because the sales blurb says 'up to 1000Mbps' doesn't mean it's a given.

Okay, I'll have to buy a long Ethernet cable and run it upstairs

depending on how long you need it get a good one

Your image of speed over the Powerline adaptors we did not get to see.

VM Mrs Net Nanny redacted the image, the usual reason is your Hub's IP was shown.

If your system works OK for normal office work perhaps you already have a functioning system.

Zoom and Skype calls etc work on a quite modest connection.

Posting a perfect speed test is a challenge for those with nothing better to work on  !
