Re: Not getting my desired speed

it will depend on the quality of the wireless device used. you will need a good 5ghz 802.11ac device to get speeds near or above 200.

If you test the speeds on a PC or laptop using a 1gbps network card you will see the true speed the internet is running at.

Wireless can be effected by many things.

Re: Not getting my desired speed

Hi thanks for the reply, I understand things affect wireless it's just weird my mum can get 180/190 on her galaxy s7 then I get 70/80 and I thought my wife's iPhone 8 would be able to get the higher speeds as hers is a new phone. My pc only has 2.4ghz WiFi so can't really get the true speeds on there by ethernet plus I've no idea about all this really just I might aswel downgrade to 100mbps if it continues. Even my Asus tablet is getting 53mbps it's getting frustrating

Re: Not getting my desired speed

You are only going to get a 'true speed' via a wired connection. Wifi result vary so widely mobile to mobile - I used to get 60Mbps on Wifi via my Galaxy S6 E+, but get 385Mbps via the Note 8.

Maybe look at upgrading the connectivity in your PC / laptop. Not that expensive these days - just did the laptops wifi for a tenner (USB stick).
