Several weeks ago I had an engineer round to fix my upload speeds. In the end it turned out to be a problem with the Virgin Media external to my property. The problem partially went away.
I now have the same problem again. Some sort of issue is known to Virgin Media:
And my router reports:
How can I log this as an actual issue so that I get notified when the problem is fixed?
I've spent a significant part of this year with poor upload speeds and I am now desperate to find an alternative broadband provider that can deliver a better quality broadband service.

Good luck getting this fixed. I've had the same issue since May and even now 1 channel has dropped to 16QAM the other 3 are at 32 at times like yourself they drop to 16 QAM.
I have a thread going but calling support is largely useless. They will insist an engineer come out, the engineer will advise they have no access to the upstream and the network team need to get involvedm, then what I found is the call gets closed and nothing happens rinse repeat. I think i had this 5 times or something. I eventually got it logged thanks to the helpful forum staff, but its honestly a nightmare.
If you are out of contract, stay out of contract so you have an easy option to move if you wish to do so.
Good luck......

I did all this the last time I had this issue. It was pointless, unfortunately. Virgin Media are telling me (via Service Status) that they have an issue. However, they don't tell me this proactively and they don't advise on when it will get fixed.

Just to update this thread: I got a random text from Virgin Media earlier today to let me know that my problem had been fixed. No support ticket had been logged and no point have Virgin Media reached out to me. Hence, the the text was random.
I rebooted my router and the problem has got slightly worse!
Channel Frequency (Hz) Power (dBmV) Symbol Rate (ksps) Modulation Channel ID
1 | 46198861 | 39.8 | 5120 | 16 qam | 3 |
2 | 60299420 | 40.8 | 5120 | 16 qam | 1 |
3 | 39399093 | 39.3 | 5120 | 16 qam | 4 |
4 | 53699872 | 40.3 | 5120 | 16 qam | 2 |
My upload performance is now around 23.84Mbps now. It used to be a rock solid 36Mbps for a long time.
Is there a way to log a support ticket that doesn't involve trying to call VM?

Hi, the indicated speed on speedtest.net is better now. Can you check to see if the work that was going on is now completed please?
