New customer just connected today - signed up for 350, getting lower than 200

I'm a new customer, technician only left an hour ago. I can't say I'm impressed with Virgin so far as I'm getting maybe half of the speeds I'm paying for. I'm using a Hub 3, I believe. I've tried modem mode and there's little difference.

Re: New customer just connected today - signed up for 350, getting lower than 200

Upstream power levels are below the recommended lower limit - someone more qualified should respond saying how important/relevant that is.

Re the speeds.  If you think that you have a BB speed problem,  then to check the speeds coming in to your Hub you need to do this first.  Make sure your device has a gigabit network card with up to date drivers.  Use a Cat6a ethernet cable to connect it to the Hub - which you have put into modem mode (to ensure only your device is connected).  Then boot up your device into "safe mode" (to disable any software on it that could be limiting speeds) and run the test at speedtest.net on at least 2 different browsers.  Is that how yours were done?

Re: New customer just connected today - signed up for 350, getting lower than 200

Hi sazooki, welcome to the community!

I am sorry to hear that you were experiencing issues when the service was initially set up.

Are you able to confirm what speeds you are are currently achieving on both a wired and wireless connection?

Thanks

Nat
