Modem Mode - Slower that Router Mode?

I have recently changed to a TP link AX23 router to see if it overcomes some of the issues I have been having with the Hub 3 by placing it in modem mode. However when I switch the hub to Modem mode I am getting reduced speeds of around 60-70mbs when connected where I was getting 230mbs in router mode. this is the same on Wi-Fi and ethernet connections. My cable connection to my laptop is a new CAT6 cable running at full duplex 10/100/1000.

I have checked the router settings and QoS is off, I cant see any other settings that could be throttling the connection.

Any suggestions?

Well I managed to solve it... not 100% sure how as I changed multiple things at the same time. I think it was probably the port I used from the Hub to the router (moved from 1 to 4) or the boot order that I used.

Thanks

Try changing the ethernet cable connecting the Hub to your router to a new Cat6a one in cas it is damaged and defaulted to 100.
