Some feature setting that is blocking the test on your router?

Yeah that is likely, have no idea what though.

It could be under some heading like "Block/respond to ICMP or IGMP", although I notice there's some ping responses still going on, which an ICMP block wouldn't allow. 

It looks from the BQM title like you've got your own router, is the hub properly set in modem mode with a magenta LED?  A less good, but still permissible combination is with the hub in (default) router mode but the AC86U configured in access point mode.

Yeah, hub is in full modem mode and I've enabled the ping in the firewall. 

I admit I'm not that tech savvy but I think I've done everything I should.

Main reason I got the router is because I've had nothing but problems for the last 2 years running the hub as a router. So earlier this year I got the router and switched, tbh when I ping somewhere from router, say ebay I get 27ms jitter, and when gaming mi ping often spikes 100% in game.

Just frustrating.
