MBPS

Why is my download Mbps averaging only 12! When I’m paying for 80 or more? Where do I apply for my refund and/or credit note?

Re: WI-FI mbps

Hi,

Where are you getting the 12 MBPS reading from?
Do you mean MBPS or Mbps, there is a difference?

As 12 MBPS is about 96Mbps conenction
But 12 Mbps is a lot slower.

Re: WI-FI mbps

1 Megabyte/sec (MB) is equal to 8 × Megabit/sec (Mb)

So, if you are using software to measure speed or perhaps it's showing speed, it's important to look at whether is uppercase or not.

If it's uppercase ie MB, simply times by 8 to give you the Mb which most people use when they quote 350 down 20 up etc

Also, worth noting that wireless is not the greatest indicator due to physical factors eg distance from AP, device, noise etc so best to use a cable (running a gigabit) to get a better idea.

The package you are on will be clearly shown on your paper or online bill.

Plug a computer or laptop into the Hub using a Cat6a ethernet cable and run a speed test at   www.speedtest.net  and screenshot the result and post it back here.

Re: WI-FI mbps

Hi Alladell,

Thank you for getting in touch.

How is the service at the moment and have you been able to determine which speed you are subscribed to?

If its possible, running a speedtest.net on both a wired and wireless connection will be helpful in determining what could be causing the issue.  If you do this please post the results and

we can take a look.

Thanks,

Nat
