Loss of Broadband and TV -again

Hi

for the past couple of days we have experienced quite a few disconnects of Broadband and TV services

On the 10/2/22 there was apparently an area issue which was apparently fixed by 18:00, but Today 11/2/22 there has been 3 further incidents  of loss of service (BQM attached)

I hope this is related to an area issue and not my connection Turing to rat poop as service status check says ‘everything is fine’

all levels look ok but the BQM shows the drops as does the network logs

Also try the “free & automated” Service Status number - 0800 561 0061 - which usually gives the most up to date info. and tells you of more local issues down to postcode level. These may not be listed on the Area Status web page (Areas are not “Geographic” they are billing areas) as that usually only covers faults affecting 1000’s of customers) so phone may give you more info, but even that wont cover problems affecting just a few customers.

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

And it’s all gone off again 🤬

Tried the freephone service checker…. Nothing wrong…..

now it’s back again 🙄

that’s the 4th time in the space of 12 hours

Hi @jka94036,

Welcome back to our Community Forums! Thank you for your post, and I'm very sorry to hear that you're experiencing some ongoing intermittent issues with your broadband and your TV services. I can understand how frustrating this can be.

I was able to run some checks on our systems, and at the moment, I cannot see any area issues that could be impacting your services at the moment, and cannot see any power level issues with your services.

Would you be able to set up a BQM chart and share a live link to your connection, so we can see when those disconnections are occurring and see what we can do to help.

Thank you.

Hi,

I did include a BQM link in my first post when the issues occurred , but have included a live link as requested below.

The days in question are the 10,11, 12 & 13th Feb

I have had previous drops but these seemed to have occurred during the early hours so put these down to ‘maintenance’

Since the brief disconnect on the 13th am things have been ok

Hi

Had another disconnect of TV and Broadband tonight (15/2/22) only for a few seconds this time but nonetheless very annoying this keeps happening recently

I can see all hub stats are fine and live BQM is linked in previous post, but feel this is either a cabinet issue or very local network issue.
One question I have is do the isolators deteriorate over time as the ones (2) I have must be +20 years old? (Grabbing at straws here)

This is getting quite annoying now, yes I know it’s 03:40 when this latest disconnect occurred but this shouldn’t be happening quite so often

Hi @jka94036, thanks for your reply and I'm sorry you've still been having problems.

It looks like there was an area outage recently, which has now been resolved and this may have affected your services.

Can you please try to reboot your Hub now, and see if things improve for you going forwards?

Many thanks
