Re: Internet connection barely usable

I'll take a look at thinkbroadband.

Currently the download is still ongoing, 0.12MBps 5 hrs remaining.

Re: Internet connection barely usable

The 5.4GB update that that I started to download about seven hours ago (which should take approximately eighteen minutes), is STILL downloading.

Here are some more interesting stats from thinkbroadband for the last six months:

EDIT.... the 5.4Gb download has just finished. 7h 15m

Re: Internet connection barely usable - Fault ref F002896495

The EU referendum countdown is on....

I'm thinking of having my own referendum.... should I LEAVE Virgin Media or should I REMAIN with Virgin Media.

My referendum closes on August 10th.... the date of the next review (It's a fix date according to the complaints team)

That's interesting (2nd to last post) seeing the average speed within 250m of you. Curious to see what I get.

Re: Internet connection barely usable - Fault ref F002896495

I thought 'fix' dates didn't actually exist, only 'review' dates? You'll be telling us next you found a unicorn in your garden!

My last review/fix date was yesterday and judging by the sub 1Mb speeds last night, it looks like that has been pushed back yet again. Still, I'm glad the engineers were out the week before cabling up a large care home nearby. Slower speeds to come then.

Livid, not Vivid.

Fix dates don't exist for the forum / network team. They do somehow magically appear for phone staff (albeit the walking talking script machine). They will promise the sun and the stars that your problem will be fixed on X date but it never is. Their script tells them to say this.

They're describing them as an "outage" now, LOL.

Re: Internet connection barely usable - Fault ref F002896495

Yep...

Area issues are termed as an 'outage' the problem that is causing the 'outage' is termed as 'over utilisation'.
