Well you have a 100% record - so thank you very much 🙂

Not even close and soon to become 0%.

Positive sounds today and will be great for those able to take advantage.

Enthralling.

April for free upgrades last I heard.

Some areas need upgrades  others are already there. Moving to 36 DOCSIS 3.0 channels, which the kit as released couldn't do as, err, the kit manufacturers didn't anticipate MSOs clinging on to 3.0 and/or being so resistant to node splits.

See how much harder they can sweat 3.0 before they finally give up and deliver 3.1. A quarter of the entire network downstream is given over to 3.0. I am aware of no other cable company that has pushed 3.0 as hard.

Yep thay are pushing 3.0 hard getting every penny out of it before moving to 3.1. It’s virgin at its best

The best of it some parts of the network are ready it’s a joke, I know the cBR8 are 3.1 ready out of the box. Don’t know about the ARRIS E6000

as you says thay are adding more downstream channels we have at lest 31 now on our part of the network.

So where are the other 7?

Someone on ISPr reckons they have it now - but their upload is still around the 350 package mark - so I reckon it was just a burst? https://imgur.com/a/HikmRCt

@Martin_D - your area has 6 upstream channels and at least 32 downstream channels available to it. You've upstreams 2-5 there, 6 is at 25.8 MHz, 1 is at 60.3 MHz.

The Arris E6k is 3.1-ready. Just need the right boards in it as you do everything else, alongside the rest of the CCAP set up being able to handle OFDM.

187, 179, 171, 163, 155, 147, 139 MHz, then another at 419 MHz - there are 8 others. If the area is at 36 the other 4 are probably at 427, 435, 443 and 451 MHz.

Channels start, on the display from the modem, at 139 and run to 323, then a 5 RF channel gap and then however many more are provisioned.

In terms of RF spectrum the broadband covers 135-327 MHz in the first band of 24, it grew downwards as more were added, and 359 - 423 MHz in a second block to move to 32 channels, with another 4 added to expand the block up to 455 MHz in that second block to provide 36 channels.

They actually just added 4 channels to this area bringing the total to 36.

Date of Issue08/02/2019
Planned Work RefC01004825
Planned Work Start (Local UK):01/03/2019 09:00
Planned Work End (Local UK):01/03/2019 15:00

Impact: There will be a loss of service at some point during the timeframe stated above whilst we complete the maintenance work.

The service outage should only last for up to 10 minutes; however a 6 hour timeframe has been given in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.
This planned work is required to complete Add DS Channels work at Leeds2 .

You really can't go by what fast.com says, it seems it does the estimation clientside so spikes due to the initial buffer affect it. I've had it as high as 600mbps when task manager never went above 403mbps (the max data rate for VIVID350).

Doesn't really matter in the grand scheme. The extra upload will be useful for those tied to VM, the extra download in very rare cases, but it's nothing transformative.

I'm not actually entirely clear what the point of moving from 350 to 500 is. PR I guess.

Has anyone noticed that the expansion into Kent will enable residential customers to get VIVID 300 at best? Yes, VIVID 300, only Virgin Media Business will offer 350mbps.
