Re: High Packetloss NW5 (Area 15)

Another area 15 (NW1 near the Garden Centre) customer who has been seeing download speeds of 0.3MBPS every evening for the past few nights.  Works beautifully (100MBPS) in the mornings so not an equipment problem.

Am not tech savvy and just have an iPad so can not replicate your impressive test data.  Replied to Kevin initially in this thread

https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Speed/Slow-Broadband-speed-in-NW6-area-15/m-p/3894075/highlight...

Have been told that nobody else has complained so it can’t be the service...

Re: High Packetloss NW5 (Area 15)

To confirm that I’m seeing the same pattern in NW1 0** (area 15), it’s 00:55 and speed is starting to improve so it is now about 3MBPS (was 0.4 or under earlier).

Re: High Packetloss NW5 (Area 15)

5.43 MBPS at 00:58.  Will try and not fall asleep to get another reading at 2am (which I’m expecting to be very good).

Re: High Packetloss NW5 (Area 15)

Final report now - 1:15am and speed is up to 99.9Mbps.  Am betting this will tally with the data other locals are seeing.

Re: High Packetloss NW5 (Area 15)

Hi MoGa, if you want to setup a Quality Monitor, it is very straight forward.

Head over to thinkbroadband.com, create a profile and then in the profile section "create a new monitor".
Once the monitor is in place, it will continuously record the stats for you.

And yes, 4:00pm to 1:00am every night since Sunday 9th December.

Re: High Packetloss NW5 (Area 15)

Thanks Drofder, have signed up and created a monitor.  Whether I can take a screenshot and post it tomorrow is another matter...

have an engineer booked for Saturday afternoon (was pointless on Friday morning as all will be fine then). Will report back then.

Annoying that Virgin are still declaring “no known issues” for broadband in our area.  Appreciate the info you’ve posted and your help!

Re: High Packetloss NW5 (Area 15)

You're welcome. Just as a note, you do not need to do a screenshot. There is a "share snapshot graph" button and then click generate. Copy one of the links it provides (this will also hide your IP from everyone).

Best of luck with your engineer visit, please keep us updated and have this page open, ready for the engineer to see.
