Ethernet speed issue

Hi

first of all my old address I have 1gbs internet from another provider so my network and setup is all up to date and 10gbs nics on pc

I also have BT infinity here too as backup which is only 70mbps but sometimes clocks faster than when im using the virgin so if I unplug virgin and plug the bt in its faster :s !

I have 362 mbps

Here is my issue I unplug my whole network and connect direct to hub3 and I get sometimes a max of 100mbps  I connect to wifi and I get 200mbps

Hub 3 page shows 1000mbps connected on network settings

at moment im connected via my router and my switch and network pc to pc speed is 1gbs but internet speed from the hub 3 is 100mbps . my cables are all correct my home network it self is running at 1gbs  problem is from the hub 3 it does not allow more than 100mbps ! when it self says there is a 1000mbps device connected ie my pc or router

Re: Ethernet speed issue

There are two very similar threads here if you have not come across them as yet

https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Networking-and-WiFi/SH3-Fails-to-Maintain-Gbit-Ethernet-Connect...

and

https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Speed/wireless-speed-full-200mbps-Ethernet-unable-to-go-past-11...

not sure how much they will help you find an answer but it would seem you are not alone with your problem.

Re: Ethernet speed issue

Yes, still ongoing, but the first link has now been picked up by one of the forum team and gone off-forum to private message. Hopefully the OP there may get some direct input from the VM team. That thread seems to be a very similar issue to your own.

If you leave this thread open, one of the forum team should pick it up for you too. As you have been reading the other links, you probably know it can take a week+ for a reply. Bumping the thread may put you further back in the queue as might checking a 'Helpful Answer' (though as yet, you haven't had one!)

One of the many tech-experts on here may also chip in too.

All working now 385mbps .

here is what I had to do ,

leave hub3 in router mode and use my router now  385mbps to the garden shed 100ft away

before was getting 10mbps from the hub 3
