Dropouts and slow spped

Hi

Over the last few weeks I have experienced a major drop out and since then poor speed. I used to get >=100 MBps bit now struggle to get 40 mbps. I have restarted my router recently and is still only showing 30 Mbps

i am in the Stevenage area so wondered if anyone else experiencing similar issues please?

Yes I’ve not tested directly with Ethernet cable. I will try do today

I’m having similar issues since being sent the new Hub. When I installed it I got speed of over 200mbps. One week later I struggle to get over 20-40mb and connection keeps dropping out.

 Thank you Virgin for removing the feature to run a test against the new hub as I now have no way to flag poor service without calling and spending an eternity on hold.

Mine has been fine when I had the new router a few months back getting ~100 Mbps bit since a major outage a week or so ago, it down to 30-40Mbps. Will test later with Ethernet cable. If it’s bad will sit on queue to Virgin.

I tested last night using an Ethernet cable to my laptop and ran a speed test and it showed 100Mbps. I also did a Wi-fi speed test using laptop and came back with 60-70’Mbps. I then did a speed test on my iPhone and again it shows 30-40Nbps. Seems issue is with my iPhone connection and that was stood by the router. I did try bad enable the 5G connection as the Virgin app seems to stare 2.4G only. 

any thoughts anyone please?

What laptop model do you have as it might only have a 100Mb NIC by wire.

It’s a B&O ELITEBOOK but gave me the correct speed both on Ethernet and also wi-Fi. Something has to have changed on my iPhone

On the laptop label there will be a model number eg BO8910AB.

What is it on yours ?
