Connection drops and speeds lower than normal

Hi, our speeds have dropped from a 250Mbps download and 10Mbps upload average to 31Mbps download and 2Mbps up. On top of this our connection seems to drop and we can't connect to any website for a couple of minutes every day multiple times per day.

This is on both Wired and Wireless connections.

We also seem to be getting Network protocol errors when a page fails to load. I checked the errors on the downstream info screen on our Virgin super hub 3(I think?) and after resetting the errors in 48 hours they racked up to over 8000 errors.

Rebooting the hub solves the issue for a few hours until it comes back again. It's fairly frustrating.

If you need any more information please let me know and thank you for your time and help.

Re: Connection drops and speeds lower than normal

Set up a BQM to monitr the quality of your connection 24/7.
https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality

Check all your coax connections are in nice and "finger" tight at the Hub and wall box and at any splitters/attenuators/etc and that the internal wiring is ok with no kinking or chaffing (rabbit chews!). Also check that all looks good with the outside cabling and wall box.

If that’s all good.... post up your Hub/network connection details and someone will check to see if there is a problem there. In your browser’s URL box type in http://192.168.0.1 (or http://192.168.100.1 - if in modem mode) and hit return. On the first page up [there should be no need to login if you have done so before] click on the “router status” icon text at bottom middle of first page up and then copy/paste 3 sets of data onto here - the downstream, upstream, & network logs. Don't worry too much about the formatting it can be easily read,& don’t include personal data or MAC addresses - blank them out.

--------------------
Services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired 2 WiFi,) SH2 in modem mode with Airport Extreme Router. On VIVID200, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Re: Connection drops and speeds lower than normal

Hey, thanks for the response! It all looks good in the house but the cover outside is broken and falls off when windy. I have already posted the Downstream and upstream images but I forgot the network log, thanks!
