Close to zero upload speeds

I’ve been working from home since lockdown 2 and all was fine until last Friday. Since then I’ve been experiencing upload speeds of around 0.1mb even though my download has stayed >50mb. This is only the case between 8am-6pm and seems fine outside of these hours. I’ve tried resetting the router but with no success. I’m not sure if this is an issue my end or a local issue (area 21, nw6)

Anyone have any ideas?

Your Upstream Channel Modulations are all at 16 QAM, The should be at 64 QAM.

Try a reboot to see if the Hub can renegotiate a better connection using this method ...

Switch the Hub off using the small switch on the rear of the Hub next to the power cord and pull the PSU plug from the wall socket.

Give it a good 5 minutes put the plug back in and switch the Hub back on.

Allow the Hub a few minutes to fully restart then try your connection again.

Get back to us to let us know how it goes.

I tried that but unfortunately it made no difference.

Try a factory reset on the Hub …

DO NOT DO THIS if the password on the base of the Hub is not legible or missing.

Disconnect all unneeded ethernet cables from the rear of the Hub.

With the Hub Powered on use a paperclip or similar (I use a mobile phone SIM Slot tool) and do a pinhole reset.

Depress the pinhole switch for a timed 60 seconds then release.

DO NOT reboot the hub but allow it 5 to 10 minutes for it to boot itself up.

Once a steady white and no other lights are illuminated check your system again

Unfortunately that hasn’t helped either.

You will need to contact VM I'm sorry to say.

You can either call in (08:00 is the best time) or wait on here for a few days (6 to 7 days average) until one of the VM Forum Staff comes along.

If you wait on here Do Not bump the thread it will put it further down the VM 'to do list'.

Hello Crossy33

Sorry to hear of the upload speed issues experienced, we appreciate you taking the time to raise this via the forums and welcome to the community.

From looking at your connection and equipment there are some issues with power levels which will require a technician. The speeds in relation to your package over the last 5 days have all been in line with your package across both download and upload. barring Monday where there was a dip below 50mb.

I will send you a Private Message to get some more details from you to look into this further.
