Can I upgrade for a couple of months?

I have just signed up for a 12 month contract for the 100mb broadband service. This is more than enough for me nearly all the time. However, there are 2 months of the year, when I could do with the top speed 200mb service. This will give me the top upload speeds I need, for putting videos on my Youtube channel. Can I upgrade my service for a few months, without having to enter into a contract?

Re: Can I upgrade for a couple of months?

Hello President1

Thanks for your post and welcome to our forums.

It's great to hear that you are happy with the current 100mb Speed

Unfortunately any change to packages are always subject to a new contract.

Regards

Re: Can I upgrade for a couple of months?

After consideration, I decided that I would be prepared to sign a new contract as the 200mb service was only an extra £5 a month at the moment. However, as an existing customer that upgrade is not available to me. As an existing customer, I have to sign up for the TV option as well as the 200mb broadband and phone deal. I'm not interested in the TV services. What gets me, is that a new customer can sign up for the Vivid 200 contract , whereas an existing customer can not upgrade to it!!  I have complained to Virgin and am awaiting a reply.

Of course you can upgrade your broadband without adding TV.

Re: Can I upgrade for a couple of months?

Forget trying to do it online.

Phone in, speak to Retentions aka ‘thinking of leaving’, say what you want, ask for their best price in return for a new contract minimum period.

Re: Can I upgrade for a couple of months?

Is 12mbps upload speed enough? If not, you'll have to get VIVID 350 for 20mbps upload.
