I upgraded to Gig 1 and my hub was upgraded rom hub3 to a hub 5.
I have to pay extra for the upgrade and I am only getting 350 to 450 mps.
I reported the issue a week ago and have been told to check speeds again after 24 hours. I have every day for a week. It is not right you take the money with the promise of 1 gig speeds then do not deliver. I am seriously cancelling my direct debits and changing to a new provider. I can get the speeds I already have cheaper elsewhere for less money. I have been with virgin since the outset.
Come on guys. Get your act together.

Run this Hub test to make sure the VM service is OK. It can be the device is only drawing 350 to 450 Mb/s.
Once the test begins click on Run full test

1) Speed tests are only valid on Ethernet cables devices.
2) Never ever cancel your Direct Debit in this type of case. VM will post a default on your account and put a marker on your name with credit reference agencies. This could stay there for 6 years and makes it difficult to get credit and even a mortgage.
