Broadband issues IG2 / Area 22

Does anyone know what's going on in the IG2 postcode / Area 22? 

I have been suffering constant dropouts and broadband connection issues for weeks now. I called yesterday and they said it was due to "high utilisation" issues in my area. 

It's happening at all times of day and becoming progressively worse. I suspect it's more to do with my superhub as I am seeing a "Registration failure" a lot.

Any ideas?

Hello nitanpatel

I am sorry you are having problems, apart from the area peak time traffic issue the connection is looking good. The hub levels are all nicely in spec and it is reporting being online for the last 5 days, no area noise problems. Is it more stable since you posted? Please bring us up to date.

Hi, 

After I posted things seemed to be better but this week it has become unstable again.

When I originally posted I also contacted 150. They advised that there were some over subscription issues in the area but they were supposed to have been fixed by now.

This is becoming incredibly frustrating. I can't do anything during the evening that needs a stable broadband connection. 

It's not working right now, 8am on a Saturday.

Hi ntanpatel.

I have taken another look at your connection and can find no obvious issues that would cause disconnections. The fault you refer to, F005880471, may cause reduced speeds during peak times, but the Internet usage levels are not that high to be honest. I cannot see how this would relate to dropped connections.

If this is ongoing and is affecting wired devices as well as wireless, please let me know. I think I'll be inclined to book an engineer appointment for you.

Hi Jen,

It is indeed affecting all devices, wired and wireless. I have a feeling it may be the superhub itself. 

I have an engineer booked for tomorrow, will they be able to replace the superhub?

Hi, 

The tech has replaced my white superhub 3.0 with a new black one. Hopefully this will fix the issue, he did not believe it was signal related as all the levels were within acceptable parameters.

I will update this if I encounter any issues.

the only difference between the white superhub and the black one was the colour

I don't know if that's the case or not but I suspected a faulty Superhub as being the potential issue. The tech did say he's seen problems with white ones specifically before though - maybe there was just an early batch that had an issue or something?

Who knows, I'll see how it goes and report back if I run into the same problems again.
