Re: Appauling Speed & Even More Appauling Chat Response!

Kay you have HUB3 have you separated out the SSID's for 2.4 and 5Ghz bands?

Check that, try switching OFF Channel optimisation in the Smart Wifi bit of the GUI...

Then set up a BQM

 HERE

Run it for say 24 hrs, and post the result.

Re: Appauling Speed & Even More Appauling Chat Response!

I have now wired up my PC via ethernet cable and have the BQM running. Do I need to leave my computer on for the 24hr duration or does it ping the router and not my computer so it doesn't matter how my computer connects and whether it is on or not?

I am uncertain what this data shows and UI know it has not been going on for a 24 hour period, but as it is dynamic, I thought it would be useful enough to post

Re: Appauling Speed & Even More Appauling Chat Response!

There is an "explanation" page on the thinkbroadband website that details what all the traces mean - its very good.

The red blocks are basically indicating when your Hub is disconnected from the network and cant be pinged. Just turn it off for half an hour and then look at the BQM you will see a red block lasing 30 mins

Re: Appauling Speed & Even More Appauling Chat Response!

The router stats and the BQM plots (apart from the red block when the Hub may have been turned off ?) suggest that your VM feed is normal.  You have a WiFi problem.

As suggested earlier, you cannot transport a WiFi environment from one location to another. Every location is different, there are many factors that affect the signal coverage..

There are a number of changes you can make to improve WiFi coverage, and there are several links to guide you on this page .
