splitting the cable is not problem if hte power levels are set correctly. All the green boxes are is a big splitter

Hi tommey,

 

Thanks for replying to the PM, I've now booked the engineer in the date & time as per my PM'd reply.

 

It's not uncommon for an installation to require a spur to be run from a neighbouring property. But this is usually only done as a temporary option and should be amended at a later date. If this has not yet been amended the engineer who visits you should be able to make arrangements for a direct connection for you and removal of the spur.

 

Have a chat with the engineer and let us know what he says.

Well I have an engineer coming today 15/01/2015.

I personally won't be there but I have arranged for someone to house sit so hopefully the engineer will arrive in the allotted time and resolve the issue.

I have to say I am not holding out much hope but will have my fingers crossed.

I will update this post when I have had a chance to check superhub stats once engineer has left.

Appointment was made for between 12 - 4pm today and not one person has been what is the point making arrangements to attend when there is no intention in doing so.

Even had 3 txt messages confirming the appointment one yesterday one this morning and one at approx 11:30 am

To say I am disappointed would be an understatement....

Well engineer arrived around 4:35pm had not got a clue why he was at the property so proceeded to install a new superhub which has made no difference at all to the power levels..............

 

Why did the engineer not even notice the power levels after installing a new superhub??

 

Why oh why send an engineer round if he does not know why he is attending?

 

So now we are back to square one.

Lol love how the box is checked that says

 

i checked the power to your modem/superhub and the signal is at the right level

 

clearly he didn't else he would have noticed the issue
