Been watching this now since the last software update on Wed 15/02/2023 my upload is perfectly fine but my download is getting worse by the day.

Stats look fine, but internet is crawling downloads are so slow

So you should not be setting the NIC to 2.5Gb

When your speed drops check link speed

The nic is automatically set at 2.5Gb because it's a 2.5Gb nic this has never changed in all the years I have had it. My download speed problem only started the day after the last software update to the hub4.

There is no point in checking the line speed because like I have said previously this is happening on several PC's not just 1 PC this is a VM issue not on my end. The hub4 was rebooted many times and everytime I rebooted it download speed went back to normal no idea for how long because it varies then speed will be all over the place once again until I reboot the hub.

So no point in checking the line speed everytime it goes down.

It's been ok for most of today every speed test that I have done as been over 940Mbps.

NICs should always be left to auto negotiate the link speed, if they can't negotiate the fastest speeds that both sides support then there is a fault, and forcing a speed is at best going to paper over the problem and at worst it will prevent the link from functioning.

I enjoyed my 5G Home Broadband download speed 675/80 better than virgin media

Just to say I am having worse speeds since upgrading to 1Gb than I ever had with my M500 (which was very good).

I might have to get the engineer out I think.
