I'm noticing a trend with the subjects on these forums, I had the hub 3 with 500mb internet, running smoothly with no issues.
Contract ran out and they "upgraded" me to 1GB internet, I've so far had about 6 phone calls with Virgin technical help who all don't seem to know a thing about the service they are providing. I explained I was using ethernet to connect to the hub, they did not know what ethernet is...
My service fluctuates from 40mb to 900mb they told me to restart my pc in safe mode to test the speed on Samknows, it was 800mb so they then said it is my pc at fault, never mind the fact that my xbox runs at 40mb and my phone.
I'm starting to wonder what the point is now, they say I should have a minimum 500mb and I only get that if I'm very lucky.

firstly what hub do you have and how are you connected are all connections to the hub or do you have your own router or any switches in the setup
try a full reset - dont think it will do anything bi=ut it gets it out of the way as VM are likely to want you to do that
post some info
log into hub3 - 192.168.0.1 [or 192.168.100.1 if in modem mode] - DON'T SIGN IN, click - click router status [centre of screen] - and post the downstream and upstream figures and the configuration - to see those press on the grey buttons/boxes labelled - upstream - downstream - configuration
if its an earlier hub button is top right

nothing wrong in the stats theres a second page to the downstream stats post that
do you only have the one wired connection - if so try reseating the lan cable at both ends if that does not help try a different lan cable - if you have multiple wired connections then i would not think all cables are iffy - 80meg on wired is typical of a poor lan cable or connection
wifi - try splitting the bands and turning off wifi optimisation
