1 GB Broadband but getting only 400MB

Last Thursday I check my bradband speed and noticed that my speed is around 400 instead of 1GB that I pay for. I have restarted the hub and since then my speed is still no where near 1GB. Once it was even down to 40MB.

Anyone else experienced this?

I am getting the same 40mb now, it's frustrating as hell. Paid for 1 GB Line and i can't even get the promised speed.

If you get the fix please let me know

Cable only, and I bought a Cat.7 , yesterday night I was getting the usual spikes, tested the internet, and j was getting around 200mb, now this morning it's 40mb.

Personally I think it's from VM side, but it's driving me nuts

Post the power levels, Pre and PostRS errors and network log from the Hub. Also setup a BQM to monitor your circuit www.thinkbroadband.com/ping

Once done we can comment.

Try checking with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 or if you have a VM landline 150 as small local faults are not listed on the VM status page.

One of the downstream channels is having bad SnR and 3.1 channel at QAM256 which should be higher.
