Will Web Safe still be functioning if I use Hub 3 as a modem only?

I have installed a mesh network as even with the VM extenders I have wifi dead spots and slow speeds in parts of the house - this has been cured by the new network. I am now using Hub 3 in modem mode only - should the Web Safe function still work - it doesn't seem to be blocking prohibited sites?

Hello
Websafe will still work as long as you do not use a custom DNS setting on your router, as websafe relies on the Virginmedia DNS servers. I would check that the router part of the Mesh is using 194.168.4.100 and 194.168.8.100.

Thanks Mike. Any idea how I would check the DNS settings? I have retained the original VM SSID and password and didn't make any changes to DNS as part of the new network setup. Sorry to be an ignoramus - networks are not my specialty!

Mike - one more question please, if I change the DNS settings as advised, will this impact the numerous devices that I have connected to the new network already?
