Security problem blem

Received call from 031563xxxx saying my IP address has been compromised or something like that checked phone no and from Vietnam I’m assuming dodgy?  Anyone else had this?

I understand how frustrating and disconcerting phishing calls can be but it sounds as though you have handled this exactly as we would recommend by ending the call and checking your services yourself.

VM don't make unsolicited tech support calls in this way. If you receive any future calls which are similar (which you almost certainly will do), then they are scams too. Other variants include calls claiming to be from Microsoft, Amazon, BT etc. etc. Further info on telephone scams in the link below from the Met Police
