Possible Scam call

i have received at least 4 calls from 08001836416 claiming to be from Virgin Media, they always say it's a follow-up call after my O2 volt upgrade and then it gets cut off.

is this number legit or spoofed?

if it's a genuine number, why do they hang up mid sentence or before it gets through to a person?

just had another call from them, no answer just silence and then they hung-up.

This is getting beyond a joke, if they are part of VM's marketing dept, tell them to stop this constant harassment.

It’s probably a carousel dealer. This is used by companies to dial a list of numbers in turn and when someone answers the call is passed to a call handler. When there are no call handlers available, you the receiver of the call, just get nothing.
