Phone call from bt

Just had a call from BT saying my WiFi signal has pinged and that my signal is low. However I'm with Virgin. They have a separate line to BT so how do they know I have a fault on my line. Got rather annoyed and told him where to go. I've done a check on my line and all ok. Must be a scam.

Yes, this was a scam call. If they call again, just hang up on them without speaking to them.

No provider makes unsolicited tech support calls to customers out of the blue.

Sorry to hear of the, what appears to be a scam call.

We are aware of scammer’s currently cold calling customers of our services, and rival companies, advising them of bogus faults, or is some cases even posing at Virgin Media.
