I just had a call from VM saying there were some service issues with my broadband. Eventually got passed to someone else. When I asked how could I verify they were calling from Virgin Media, they hung up. First few digits of the number (which should be enough to validate it could be one of their numbers) is 02083271…

If this isn’t genuine, I can post the last three digits.

If it is genuine, VM can you train your staff to go through some security details first to prove who they are. Anyone who doesn’t establish their credentials will be reported to the ICO.

100% a scam call and not from VM.

Incidentally, please don't post the rest of the number, these are often genuine numbers of innocent third parties which the scammers 'borrow' or spoof to make the calls seem more realistic.
