Can anyone tell me if they are experiencing weird intermittent connections issues and even password changes to their modem?
I've been noticing this for some months now and have to keep resetting. Lately though when I reset I get the message "updating" and then it take sometime to wait to update the password.
Very strange. Is it possibly just upgrades happening in the background, DOS attacks or someone up to no good on Virgin's end?
My router is in modem mode and I am running a hardware firewall.
Area code is 28.
VM are currently updating the software on hub3's.
I'm not sure if a software update would cause the hub to reboot and if you aren't using the default password that the update would reset it to the default.
I'm still on 9.1.1912.302, however the new one is version 9.1.1912.304

I'll give it a check.
On another note, that could really be a potential problem in and of itself in other ways if it defaulted after a firmware upgrade.
PS: nice quote
A Hub3 firmware update would not usually cause any user chosen settings, including the settings password, to be reset to defaults.

I'll need to check if it's a Hub3 too . . .
Thanks for clearing that up.
Were you actually able to check what hub you have?
Yeah, it was Hub 3.0.
As I said very strange indeed.
I mean I am not accusing Virgin of tampering as that would be most unprofessional and illegal I presume?
So far it has been stable and funnily enough ever since I posted my initial query . . .
Glad it's working fine at the moment, do keep us posted if you have any further issues
No problem. I'll be sure to keep a close eye on it.
